Helping you survive the credit crunch...

Just about everyday there's talk of the credit crunch, people pulling in their belts to suit their incomes, although shouldn't it be like that always!
To assist you in these times I have turned to a few sites that from now on will permanently be in my favourites. Some of you will already be well established users but I'm sure there are a few of you out there, who need a helping hand to get saving!
My first choice is Quidco, a co-operative site that is basically an affiliate scheme that lets you click a link to a merchant site. You then receive either a fixed sum or a percentage when you make a purchase. I recently changed my car and renewed my insurance and received a £70 payment...Membership is £5 and is only paid once you have received your first payment in excess of £5.
Another excellent forum is Money Savings Expert which is packed with great advice, money calculators helping you to save your readies..
There is another cool service called Freecycle which is a major attempt to keep stuff out of landfill sites across the country. There is probably a group set-up in your area, so join and see if you can bag yourself a bargain.
There are savings to be had at many stores, especially if you're buying electrical goods. Check out the refurbished or end-of-line pages as many items are reduced and have only had their packaging opened. I recently made a £400 saving on a laptop from PC World..
The bottom line is that the money is better in your back pocket than someone else's!
Happy saving!! :-)
