If you haven't already upgraded to Firefox 3 browser you must do so today!
This latest version is above all, fast... plus there are some really slick new features that put it in different league to IE. I love the Smart Location Bar and the way it guesses what you're searching for. Sites from your bookmarks and your history that match what you're typing, pop-up for you to choose.
You can now add bookmarks with a single click by hitting the star icon in the Location bar and if its already marked the star lights up to tell you. You can also tag bookmarks to organise them without having to use the old folder method.
This has set the standard and I think IE8 from what I've seen with it's beta version isn't going to match it..nice one Mozilla!

FF3 is definitely faster, but there are still some memory hacks you should run through using the about:config page (they're explained on sciencetext.com and elsewhere). There are also at least two security issues known already. One is not yet in the public domain, but it's only a matter of time. The other regards how the smart addressbar can keep track of https:// URLs, which means, for instance, that users of your FF3 machine would be able to see the subject lines of your GMail messages.
