Got to get this off my chest....The World Cup is a great celebration of the world's greatest so called footballers (overpaid prima-donna's, sorry doners!). 20 plus red cards and numerous yellows and the slow motion replays are showing them up to be a bunch of cheats! Diving, faining injury, holding your face (Thierry Henry) in an attempt to get the opponent red carded! What a shame!
How are they going to clean the game up? I know it's all big business and big egos but this side of the game is ruining the image of what should be a beautiful game. Fine them and embarrass them on the big screen, I say!
I remember the England v Brazil match of the 1970 WC (the best football match ever!) and the spirit in which Moore, Pele and co. conducted themselves was just great to watch.
Commercialism ruins so much, don't let it destroy the values of fair play!
NO other sport let's players get away with this cheating.....time to climb off the soap-box now!

Well that was another close run thing...This whole World Cup seem's to be a last minute affair with everyone getting inspiration in the last dying kicks of the game. I was very impressed with Lennon, who immediately made an impact when he came on in the second half. As for Croutch, is he really a top striker? Good header, but that should of been his 3rd..
No way will we take home the WC if we play like that! Onwards and upwards and let's hope we're not drawn againgst the old nemesis in the next round!
