Just thought I would let you know of some cool web searching tips that will help you find what you're looking for...
Wildcards - use a wildcard operator to replace a missing word. In Google this is an asterisk(*) eg. "Fast * Magazine"
Use quotes - if you're looking for a specific phrase, put quotes around it. The search engine will treat the phrase as a whole.
Boolean Searches - use Boolean logical commands such as AND, OR and NOT. eg. Blair AND Bush
Try Metasearching - use a metasearch site instead of trying multiple search engines. These sites fetch the results of your search from the main search engines, remove any duplicates and then analyse the results. Try dogpile.com or metacrawler.com
Lastly, try a cool tool called Quintura Search that will run your query through Google, Yahoo and MSN then display the results in a split window, results on the right and words on the left. You can then filter the results clicking on the relevant words.
Here endeth the searching lesson.....
